Since 1922, we have been the original Essiac company passed down from Rene Caisse to Mary McPherson, and now to the present owners today. We strive to keep the same original four herb formula (Burdock, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm and Rhubarb) and maintain potency, wild-crafted and 100% organic products.

Rene Caisse’s formula was always these original four herbs, and we dedicate ourselves to sourcing them sustainably and with no added fillers or unnecessary ingredients. All of our herbs are verified for their authenticity and potency. Our products are made in Canada and the USA, and imported throughout the world.

Today, we have kept many of Caisse’s legacy formulas the same, such as the Herbal Extract, Vegetable Capsules, and the Herbal Powder - her original Essiac Tea. We have modernized many of our products as well, such as the Daily Drops for added convenience; and added AHCC for additional immune benefits to our Essiac Gold. Our Daily Drops, Herbal Teabags, and now the original Vegetable Capsules are certified 100% USDA Organic. We seek to help all of our Essiac customers with products that can help benefit them the most.

Mary McPherson took over Essiac in 1977 from Rene Caisse herself. She was a longtime assistant, mentee and friend of Rene, after Rene's Essiac formula helped her husband. McPherson produced the original formula for decades, ensuring that it remained with the same authentic four ingredients. The Essiac Legacy was then passed to the T.P. Maloney family, who also ensured the formula's potency and originality. From there, Essiac was passed to the current Perreault and Poirier family in 2019. Today, we do the same for you, and continue to advance research and knowledge of Essiac and its history.
